Welcome to New Regent's College

At New Regent’s College, our mission “Learning to Succeed” sits at the heart of everything we do. We work with young people who may have faced significant challenges in their education and who are at risk of disengagement or underachievement. Our role is to help them rediscover confidence in learning and to equip them with the skills,attitudes, and qualifications they need to move forward successfully.

We believe every young person can succeed when they are supported with respect, responsibility, and resilience. These
values guide our relationships, our expectations, and our approach to learning. We treat every learner with dignity and
understanding, encourage them to take responsibility for their choices and progress, and help them build the resilience
needed to overcome barriers and thrive.

For many students, their time with us is a short but important chapter. Most learners attend New Regent’s for a limited
period before returning to mainstream education, transitioning to a new school, or moving on to post-16 pathways.
During their time with us, we focus on removing barriers to learning, whether these relate to behaviour, emotional
wellbeing, attendance or gaps in learning, so that students are ready for their next step.

There is a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, particularly for our younger learners, as we recognise these as
essential foundations for future success. Although we are a mixed-age provision, primary-aged pupils are educated
separately from secondary students, ensuring age-appropriate learning and support. All students benefit from small
class sizes and high levels of individualised support, allowing strong relationships to develop between staff and learners.
For our older students in Years 10 and 11, education may take place on site or through a carefully selected range of
specialist vocational providers. We work closely with each student with the ambition that all Key Stage 4 learners
achieve five GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including English and Mathematics, wherever this is appropriate to their
starting points and needs.

Some students are referred to New Regent’s by their school so that we can provide a curriculum or specialist support
that may not be available in their home setting. Every learner receives independent advice and guidance to support
informed decisions about education, training or employment beyond Year 11.

In September 2019, we moved into our purpose-built campus, providing first-class facilities that support learning,
wellbeing and personal development. Our environment reflects our belief that young people deserve high-quality spaces
in which to learn, grow, and succeed.
