KS3 Trip to the Imperial War Museum and HMS Belfast

Posted on 1st Mar

During spring term English lessons, KS3 students studied novels set in periods of war. In Creative Curriculum, students looked at different societies’ beliefs and legal systems. To enrich their learning on these topics of wars, beliefs, and the law, students were taken on a trip to the Imperial War Museum and HMS Belfast. We travelled into London, winding through the city streets on our double decker bus. Students enjoyed seeing some of the iconic sites of their city. At the Imperial War Museum, students looked at displays of weapons and machinery from the First World War to now. They read about how the wars of our world began and who they affected. After the fantastic displays of the Imperial War Museum, students bussed their way to the banks of the Thames and boarded the HMS Belfast. The HMS Belfast was a fantastic experience, like stepping onto a real working Navy ship. Students had a brilliant day out and are looking forward to the next one.   Student aboard HMS
