New Regents College Annual Award Ceremony 2016
We were delighted to hold New Regent’s College 2nd Annual Award Ceremony on Thursday 23rd June.
In spite of the very soggy weather there was a great turn out from parents and guests alike. We hosted Vintners’ Company, who have generously funded the prizes and continue to fund a whole variety of events and resources for New Regent’s College.
We had a musical performance from KS3 and a Dance performance from Primary to start the event. Richard Brown, Executive Head, spoke about the generosity of the worshipful company of Vintners’ and what a difference the additional funding they provide has made to New Regents College, enabling additional therapeutic interventions to be available to our pupils.
In addition to certificates, prizes were awarded for excellence in maths and English, attendance and for overall progress. Student of the Year awards were presented to Kevin Lema (Primary) and Hamza Mohammed (Secondary).
Presentations were made by Master Vintner, Simon Lascelles and Steve Belk, Chair of the Management Board. Head of School, Sue Parillon said ‘Occasions like this where pupils’ achievements are so publically celebrated have such a positive impact on their feelings of self-worth and self-esteem. It is fantastic to see our pupils walking tall after the Annual Award Ceremony’.
