Arts Week

We celebrated our rich arts and cultural curriculum with a fantastic Arts Week. Pupils had a wonderful week of arts activities and had the opportunity to engage in new and exciting experiences throughout.

Day 1

Photography trip to Hampstead Heath. Pupils worked together to create a huge photo-collage of the trip with clear reference to David Hockney, who they have been studying in Art.

Day 2

All day drama workshop including Devising/Writing/Creating stories, Visual prep (masks, gory makeup, prop making, costumes), Rehearsals and Performances.

Day 3

Lessons with a creative twist. In maths pupils created 3d masks based on polygons.

Day 4

Trip to Epping Forrest. Pupils were in teams to devise and create shelters using found objects. This required team working skills and designing skills. On their return to school they created small scale sculptures using found material.

Day 5

Pupils created food from around the world in their cooking lessons. All food was shared at the culmination of Arts Week with a whole school celebration of the work achieved throughout Arts Week.
