Navy Visit

On the 20th February 2018 pupils David, Joseph, Bacari, Codee, Lenique, Kehfai, Olivia A, Devarn and Kasino attended the Royal Navy base in Canary Wharf. They had the amazing opportunity to be on board and steer a P2000 vessel along the River Thames. The pupils really enjoyed being behind the wheel  alongside the captain and were surprised to find out the different career paths the Royal Navy have to offer, such as Sports coaching, teaching and combat.

In addition to this, pupils took part in a laser shooting competition. They were shown the key techniques required when holding a firearm. Our pupils loved taking part and came out with some impressive scores! They took part in some excellent discussions and left the base with a new respect for the brave men and women who serve our country on land and overseas. They are looking forward to another visit. Many left wanting to join, it was great.
