Trip the Institute of Mechanical Engineering

Recently KS3 students visited the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE). Pupils learnt the importance of engineering within The Royal Air force (RAF) and how technology has been used and developed to protect our shores.

After a brief seminar and refreshments NRC pupils took up a challenge to design and build their own glider, competing with other schools to create the best and/or most innovate design. Although NRC did not win the grand prize our pupils were commended for their design and final model. A big thank you to Kehfai, Richley, Calum and Codee for representing the school extremely well!
